Itch & Pain is a peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to the publication of papers covering biology of itch and pain. Itch and pain are the two most common somatic sensations which have been implicated in a variety of diseases. However, sensation of itch is the least understood among all somatic sensations. The goal of this journal is to advance our understanding of pathophysiology of itch and pain, as well as their interactions with each other and other systems.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Mechanisms and management of itch and pain
  • Mechanisms of chronic itch
  • Animal models of itch and pain
  • Itch and pain modulation system
  • Signaling Mechanisms in the Neuronal Networks of Pain and Itch
